SELFSIMILARAt Selfsimilar, we prioritize privacy and transparency regarding how data is collected, stored, and processed by the Sorphel Meeting Assistant co-pilot.
1. Local Audio Processing & Session Transcripts
Sorphel captures audio streams locally through your system loopback and microphone channels for real-time transcription. Raw audio data is processed transiently in volatile memory and is never saved as audio recordings on our servers.
To enable session history, usage analytics, and transcript review in your User Dashboard, text transcript logs generated during active sessions are stored in our secure database cloud infrastructure.
2. Data Collection & Local Storage
We collect and store the following minimal information:
- Account Information: Email address and full name for account authentication, plan tiering, and security alerts.
- Hardware UUID (Machine ID): Collected during device synchronization to enforce single-device session integrity and prevent concurrent account misuse.
- Session Logs & Transcripts: Text transcripts, duration, minute usage metrics, and timestamps associated with your sessions.
- Client-Side Storage: An authentication JWT token and hardware identifier are stored securely in your web browser or desktop client's
localStorageto maintain login state.
3. Data Retention & Erasure (GDPR Art. 17 / Right to be Forgotten)
Session transcripts and usage records are retained for as long as your account remains active. Users can request full deletion of their personal data, account, and associated transcript logs at any time under GDPR Art. 17 by emailing our Privacy & Support team at support@selfsimilar.in. Data deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.
4. Payment Processing Disclosures
Payments for Sorphel plans are processed via Razorpay. Selfsimilar does not collect, store, or process raw credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or banking credentials on our servers. All transaction details are directly handled by Razorpay in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
5. International Data Transfers
Our database infrastructure (Neon DB) is hosted in secure Cloud Data Centers in the United States (AWS us-east-1). By accessing Sorphel, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be transferred to and processed outside of your home country under standard contractual clauses and appropriate safeguard measures.
6. Third-Party AI Services
Sorphel securely proxies call text segments to AI models (such as Groq and OpenAI) to generate real-time meeting insights. All data passed to AI proxies is stripped of identifying user metadata and processed under strict zero-retention data privacy standards.
